a new kind of boot

Sometimes I see ankle boots and booties and think, "Oh goodness, yuck." However, just as often I see ankle boots or booties being sported and I think they look very cute. They key, for me at least, is how down-to-earth versus high fashion the particular boots are. I don't see a place in my life (or closet) for a pair of those big, leather, moon-shoe looking platform booties (like these). But a friendler, more Colorado-y pair? That just might work...
