I had a wonderful trip to Phoenix earlier this week/last weekend. It was so wonderful to hang out with my Mom and sister. We did a lot of nothing - running errands, going to the mall, getting pedicures, but we as had my sister's baby shower.
I mostly did browsing at the mall, but I did get some workout gear from Lululemon. It was much needed, as I hadn't gone wild at Lululemon in a long time and my workout wardrobe was looking a little worse for wear.
I also got to go to the new Paper Source shop in the Scottsdale Quarter. It was actually the first time I got to go to a Paper Source store, and it didn't disappoint.
I also ate at an amazing garden-to-table restaurant that I have been wanting to try forever, but somehow never had. The Parlor Pizzeria is aptly named for being a pizza parlor, but also because the building it is housed in used to be a hair parlor. The food was amazing - I had a heirloom tomato and watermelon salad with feta and a pizza with squash, squash blossoms, leeks, and Pecorino cheese. Even better, though, is the garden that lines the walkway to the restaurants entrance. In this garden they grow tomatoes, herbs, peppers, and veggies that they use in their kitchen.
I am now back in Miami and looking forward to a weekend of some fun in the sun - beach volleyball, specifically. Maybe a road ride, too. However, I must admit, I do like when it rains here and I these days I don't complain when I get a cozy day indoors while it pours outside.
Hope your weekend is the best.
