what I wear :: maxi dresses

To all of you in colder climates, file this post away until late spring or summer. For anyone in the warmer climes the likes of Florida, stay tuned in.

I just ordered these three maxi dresses ... I have always loved a good, flattering, simple maxi, but now that I am preg, I find the couple of maxi dresses (especially this one) getting worn more frequently than ever. Couple being preg with the hot, humid summer  winter Florida weather, and the maxi dress is the perfect wardrobe staple.

I love the tulips shape of this Velvet Moanna Maxi Dress - and black is always a favorite. This Three Dots Column Tank Dress has a great color palette ... I am on the fence about the horizontal stripes, but I love these colors. This very simple Splendid Maxi Tank Dress has a good, classic racerback cut and I love Splendid's fabrics. The gray was a nice change from black, too.

I like to pair my maxi dress with sandals (like the Sam Edelman Gigi T-Strap sandal) or flip flops. Usually, I also have a favorite scarf or cardigan to pull on it with it in case I get chilly (read: air conditioning is freezing).
