Asher's thank you notes ... today I am sharing the first birthday invitations that came before those thank yous!
Asher's first birthday invitations include a simple illustration of three balloons and the event tagline "Asher is turning one." The invitations were digitally printed on 19 pt cotton rag which has a beautiful, soft feel. We paired them with some gray envelops and chartreuse wrap-around labels. Those felt balls in the last photo are some of the decorations from the party!

As you know, little John and I traveled out to Phoenix for this party. We were so thankful to get to celebrate Asher's first birthday with him. The party was simply lovely. My sister, Jonna, took so much care in making the day special for Asher, including hiring a music lady. I was a little skeptical about how a music lady would go over with one year olds (there were several one year olds in attendance), but I was very pleasantly surprised. This music lady knows her craft, and she had a way with small children and music. She had these little one year olds excited and participating in singing and playing instruments. It really was just so cool; and really inspired me to
get little John exposed to some music. The whole party was lovely and a celebration worthy of our favorite one year old.
