Today I am sharing the three pairs I selected for my home try-on and you get to help me choose which pair is right for me. I wanted to try on (from top to bottom in the photo above) the Gabriela in Espresso Tortoise, the Penelope in Raven, and the Isabela in Espresso Tortoise.
the Gabriela
The Gabriela is a medium width frame; with a sweetly sophisticated style. Gabriela has a classic silhouette and I love how the Espresso Tortoise almost has an ombre effect as it is darker up top and has more light variation towards the lower part of the frames.
the Penelope
The Penelope is a wider frame, so I am wondering if it is too wide for my face. But I love that it is a modern take on the classic Wayfarer silhouette, with the added detail of an unexpected indentation at the bridge’s top and distinctive silver bullets on the temple. I like that these are just solid black (Raven).
the Isabela
The Isabela are a medium width frame and have super cute rivet detailing. These frames feature classic, clean lines, but I think they are my least favorite of the three.
what do you think?
So, which frames do you like best for me? Please chime in in the comments below. I like the Gabriela and the Penelope and I have kind of discounted the Isabela. I would love your input! And, if you need some new glasses, check out Avocê and their in home try-on for yourself!
You can find details about the boots I am wearing above in this post from last week. Unfortunately, the Madewell plaid shirt is sold out online, but you kind find similar here, here, here, here, here, or here. I am wearing my favorite Anine Bing Double Zip Skinny Jeans.
Full disclosure: Avocê contacted me asking me to give their home try-on service a try and to blog about my experience. In crafting content for &chloe, I only feature brands/products that I truly enjoy/love/have a passion for. I wanted you to know that I was asked by Avocê to do this post, but just as importantly I wanted to let you know that I choose to post this because first and foremost I felt content would be a good fit on &chloe, and I needed to try on some new glasses, damn it.
