A book like Where'd You Go, Bernadette, which I enjoyed tremendously is always hard to follow. When you read a book you like so much, it can be difficult to move on to another one. I finished Bernadette much quicker than I ever thought possible, a testament to how good it was.
Well, I think I found a good one to follow ... The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, according to Amazon is:
"Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. “Jess and Jason,” she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?
Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut."

So what do you think? Will you read along?

It was perfect! Such a lovely day!!! :)
My neighborhood book club is reading this now! I'm sad to say I can't participate because I'm overwhelmed with school readings, but this book is definitely waiting for me on my list of "I can't wait for school to be out so I can read whatever I want!" books. :-) Along with Orphan Train, The Light Between Oceans, and Provence, 1970. I can't wait to read your thoughts on this one!
Thanks for the recommendation! After I finish a book, it (unfortunately) typically takes me months before I pick up another. So far I'm enjoying the read, particularly on these snowy days!
